He allegedly pointed a rifle at paramedics, demanding that his father be taken to a different hospital than the one scheduled. This is what happened yesterday in eastern Naples, after a seventy-year-old man collapsed inside a car wash on Via Taddeo da Sessa. According to the Carabinieri, the son pulled out his gun when the ambulance arrived, demanding that his father be transferred to the Policlinico Hospital.

The ambulance departed, but the elderly man was taken to the Ospedale del Mare. That's where the Carabinieri of the Naples mobile radio unit intervened. The forty-five-year-old man who allegedly pointed the weapon was identified and arrested , and was later recovered from a locker at the car wash: an air rifle.

Furthermore, the man, as the Carabinieri explained, is a nurse . He is now under house arrest.
