An Egyptian citizen was killed last night by a carabiniere in Villa Verucchio, in the Rimini area , after the man stabbed four people in the street at around 10.30pm.

The first to be attacked was an 18-year-old who was buying cigarettes at a vending machine. The young man, wounded in the back, was reached by friends and helped. The boys began to run away, chased by the assailant who, having retraced his steps, also attacked an elderly couple and a girl.

When the police tried to stop him , the Egyptian allegedly tried to stab one of the soldiers who intervened , who shot and killed him .
