Fear this morning at Malpensa airport when two planes collided during the parking phase.

The two aircraft - a Delta Airlines just landed from New York and an EasyJet A320 ready to take off for Tel Aviv - "touched" with their respective wings at the airport's North Satellite, causing minor damage.

Sea - the company that manages the airport - has confirmed that it was probably an error, on which investigations are underway, in the assignment of the lay-bys. No injuries were registered.

The Delta flight has restarted, the EasyJet is starting boarding procedures three hours late.

As a note from EasyJet points out, "the plane that was supposed to operate flight EJU2563 from Milan Malpensa to Tel Aviv today, 4 April, was damaged while it was parked in the stand area of Malpensa airport, when another plane, not EasyJet, taxiing to the adjacent stand, came into contact with the end of its wing. All passengers disembarked normally and a replacement plane was arranged to allow passengers to continue their journey to Israel ”.
