Investigations continue into the shocking story of Alessandria , where yesterday a 66-year-old engineer, Martino Benzi, killed his wife, son and mother-in-law, and then took his own life.

The carabinieri are trying to reconstruct the context in which the massacre was carried out and to understand the motive that pushed Benzi to stab his wife Monica Berta, 55, her 17-year-old son Matteo (at home) and also his mother-in-law Carela Schiffo to death , 78 years old (retirement home resident).

Under the scrutiny of investigators are two notes found after the murders, left by the 66-year-old.
