They all had residence permits, worked to support their families, and were expelled from Italy in July 2022 on a terrorism charge that the Perugia court found to be unfounded.

Now, after having received the dismissal, they are asking the Italian State for compensation of two million euros.

The legal initiative was undertaken by four North African citizens, three Moroccans (two aged 39, and one aged 57) and a Tunisian (aged 47) who, because of those accusations which turned out to be unfounded, were forced to abandon their families, wives and minor children, who from one day to the next, were left without any sustenance.
