The shoes of Mattia Luconi , the eight-year-old boy lost after the wave of bad weather that hit the Marches on the evening of September 15, were found, snatched from the arms of the mother who was originally from Urzulei, Silvia Mereu.

This is a pair of tennis shoes. Yesterday, however, the mud had returned the little boy's backpack , about 8 kilometers away from the point where the wave of water and mud had swept him away in the territory of Castellone di Suasa.

The Prefecture of Ancona subsequently specified that the shoes had already been found by rescuers " inside the car " of the recovered mother. The woman had left the car with her son when the flood came, trying to get away on foot, but then the two were separated by the current. The mother was found at a distance of a kilometer and a half, injured.

This morning the searches with divers and molecular dogs were concentrated in a bend of the Nevola stream, where there is a bottleneck, then moved further downstream. The operations are attended by Mattia's father and maternal uncles. Yesterday at that point, in the same area where the mother's car had been fished out, which had escaped the flood, the molecular dogs had begun to "aim" and one had even tried to jump into the water.

These are molecular dogs trained in Switzerland and San Marino, capable of identifying people in any condition. So the divers, following the instructions of the dogs, dived. In the same area, firefighters are at work who are removing tree trunks with excavators.
