She had ten ovules , about 100 grams of pure heroin, in her belly. But when she was about to board a ferry from the tourist port of Naples to Sardinia, the drug courier, a forty-one-year-old Nigerian, began to show signs of apparently unjustified agitation.
Signs of anomalous behavior that did not escape the attention of the Carabinieri of the Central operational unit: the military believed that this intolerance was a typical symptom of someone who offers his body to transport drugs.
The 41-year-old was stopped and taken to Pellegrini Hospital. Thanks to an X-ray, the carabinieri discovered that the man had the drug in his rectum and that the package was about to give way.
The courier did not suffer any physical damage but was arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing. He is now in prison, awaiting trial.
