Fabrizio Corona, under investigation for "revenge porn" based on a complaint from journalist and TV host Alfonso Signorini, will be questioned on Tuesday morning at the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office . The complaint was filed after the former "king of the paparazzi," through his show 'Falsissimo,' essentially accused Signorini of running a "system" of sexual favors requested—according to the former photo agent—from some Big Brother contestants or those aspiring to enter the now-famous "house."
The questioning was requested by Corona himself, defended by lawyer Ivano Chiesa, after two days ago, during the investigations by the Police and the Postal Police, coordinated by Deputy Police Officer Letizia Mannella and the Public Prosecutor Alessandro Gobbis, searches were carried out on the former "photographer of the VIPs", acquiring forensic copies of his phone and a tablet as well as the footage of the episode of 'Falsissimo' .
And this is to recover those "sexually explicit images or videos" that were allegedly distributed "illegally", as reported to the prosecutors by Signorini , whose statements have already ended up in the investigation documents also through his complaint.
A first episode, titled "The Price of Success - Part 1," featuring direct attacks on Signorini, including through images and private chats between the host and a former Big Brother contestant, was broadcast a week ago. Through analysis of computer devices and evidentiary seizures, investigators have reportedly also acquired other photos and videos not yet aired by Corona on his YouTube show , although some images have already been shared on social networks. The searches, which continued all day Saturday, included not only his home but also the studios of Velvet Cut, the company where 'Falsissimo' is recorded.
Corona's defense, represented by attorney Chiesa, hopes that Milanese investigators will focus their investigations specifically on the merits of the seized material, to assess the criminal nature of the matter . As of now, from what we understand, no other complaints have been filed. Should reports of alleged abuse be received, investigators will also need to assess this aspect of the investigation to reconstruct the entire affair in detail.
"We had to reshoot the episode (...) because the material was seized by the Prosecutor's Office," Corona wrote on social media yesterday. And again: "It's not a problem: we're redoing everything. We'll tell you an even more powerful and shameful story." And he announced tonight's second episode with more "documents and materials." In recent days, he had already spoken of "more than 50 reports of young people who had been subjected to harassment." And during the first episode, he had said that Antonio Medugno's was just "case zero" of hundreds of similar cases . Today Corona is back on the attack: "The powers that be didn't stop us. We'll see tomorrow, after the episode, who the real suspect is."
