An 18-year-old boy, Cosimo Quagliarella, originally from Andria, died after being stabbed last night in Trani during a fight between groups of youths in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII.

According to initial reports, the victim died from back injuries. The clash occurred between a group from Andria and one from Trani.

The boy was rescued and transported first to the Trani local hospital, then to the Bisceglie hospital, where he died.

A few hours later , the alleged perpetrator appeared at the police station with a lawyer. He is a seventeen-year-old boy who admitted his guilt, stating that he had acted without intent to kill.
