Beaten to death in a hotel room in Rimini, he died after nine days in a coma.

The victim is a 45-year-old man, for the brutal beating the Mobile Squad of the Rimini police station arrested three of the four perpetrators.

These are two Italians aged 53 and 35 and a Croat aged 42, while a 45-year-old Bosnian is still being sought abroad.

Presumably, it was a debt that triggered the beating.

On the evening of November 3, 4 of them showed up in the victim's hotel room: while the two Italians stood as a stake, the others hit him with kicks, punches and an iron stick. Then they left with their wallet after a brutal assault that lasted over 20 minutes according to witnesses.

The blows to the head and chest were fatal for the 45-year-old. The 52-year-old Croatian and the Italian were stopped in Riccione, one outside a room the other in a hotel.

The victim two years ago had been involved in an anti-mafia operation by the carabinieri which led to ten arrests for what was defined as a sort of new Romagna Camorra. In fact, as a first hypothesis, the investigators had thought of a settlement of scores entirely internal to organized crime, then they ascertained that the cause of the beating is a debt not paid by the victim.
