The thirty-year-old arrested for the murder of her mother-in-law, Stefania Camboni, found dead yesterday morning in a villa in Fregene, used her cell phone to search the web for "how to remove blood from a mattress" and "how to poison a person." This was confirmed by the Carabinieri coordinated by the Civitavecchia Prosecutor's Office. The suspect's cell phone was seized. A large blood stain hidden by a bedspread was found on the mattress of the victim's bed. The thirty-year-old, Giada Crescenzi, 30, was arrested by the Carabinieri at the end of a long interrogation: she is being investigated for voluntary homicide.

It is not excluded that the fifty-eight-year-old was killed in her sleep with several stab wounds. The victim's car was found near the house, lying on the side of the road against a torn-off grate, and a short distance away was her wallet.

The daughter-in-law's story did not convince the investigators and an arrest could be made soon. The motive for the murder is yet to be clarified, in particular whether there have been disagreements recently, perhaps for economic reasons.

The woman lived alone in a portion of the same villa on Via Agropoli where her son and his partner also live.

It was Stefania's son who raised the alarm yesterday morning. He told the police that he had gone to greet his mother, returning from a night shift at work, and that he had found her dead. When the emergency services arrived, there was nothing more that could be done for her. On the body, covered by some pillows, the coroner found numerous stab wounds to the chest.
