Simona Angela Putzu, 36 years old, a true Selargina citizen for generations, and Marco Sarritzu, originally from Quartu : they are the couple of the 2025 edition of the Antico sposalizio selargino, chosen by the Pro Loco to represent the city and the ancient local traditions in the event that will culminate with the wedding in chains on the second Sunday of September.

A love that blossomed thirteen years ago, with a first yes pronounced in the Town Hall in 2015, and two children - Leonardo and Angelica - who will be the future pageboys next to mom and dad ready to swear eternal love at the altar of the Maria Vergine Assunta parish.

For Simona it was almost a destiny: «I was born and raised with the Selargino Wedding», she says, «the family home hosted the wedding banquet of the newlyweds for years, I experienced the dances, the songs and the celebrations of an entire community». A passion for traditions transmitted and shared with her better half.

The 2024 edition was crucial: «Last year we attended Fiorella and Davide's wedding with the folk group Kellarious of which we are part, we looked at each other and asked ourselves: why don't we submit the application?», say Marco and Simona. Application chosen from among the many presented to the Pro Loco.

Today the public presentation of the couple, in the Casa Cara which - thanks to the restyling wanted by the Municipality - will in the future host the Ecomuseum of the landscape, and the hub of the Selargino Wedding. «This year there will also be initiatives before the week dedicated to the Ancient Wedding», announces the president of the Pro Loco Gianni Frau, «a bit like what happened in the past on the occasion of engagements».
