The deputy prosecutor of Milan, Letizia Mannella, and the prosecutors Rosaria Stagnaro and Paolo Filippini asked for a sentence of 8 years in prison and an 80 thousand euro fine for Alberto Genovese, a former web entrepreneur accused of raping, after having made them unconscious with a mix of cocaine and ketamine, two models: one of 18, during a party on 10 October 2020 in her penthouse Terrazza Sentimento overlooking the Duomo, the other of 23, a guest in a luxury villa in Ibiza in the previous July .

The sentence of the trial , which takes place with an abbreviated procedure before the gup Chiara Valori, is expected for September.

"I ABUSED DRUGS, I DID NOT UNDERSTAND"

" I was abusing drugs, I no longer controlled reality and I realized only later, watching those videos, that the girl had expressed her dissent ", said in tears Genovese, questioned in the last hearing, to try to justify her behavior on the 18-year-old .

He claims that he does not remember much of that long October night and that only after seeing the CCTV footage of the room did he realize that the young woman had asked him to stop.

The defense counseling, on the other hand, spoke of a mental defect due to the abuse of cocaine.

"FRAMEWORK OF DEVASTATION"

The prosecutors spoke of a " picture of human devastation and degradation ".

The adjunct Letizia Mannella, in front of the gup Chiara Valori, provided a general picture of the events and the prosecutor Rosaria Stagnaro addressed the specific facts, speaking in particular of the lack of consent of the girls who were abused while they were unconscious.

COMPENSATION

Genovese had offered compensation for a total of about 155 thousand euros to the two young women, who were refused.
