Ukraine-Russia, political analyst Fesenko: "Trump's negotiations have failed."
Kiev does not trust PutinPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
According to political scientist Volodymyr Fesenko, "Trump's second attempt has failed. It's the result of the weakness and inconsistency of his position, of his complacency toward Putin, who calmed down after Alaska. The visit to China, where Xi demonstrated strength to the Americans, inspired him, and he decided to demonstrate his own strength. We'll see. The Ukrainians aren't giving up or capitulating. For now, negotiations will continue by inertia. Then it will depend on the war: if Kiev manages to contain the Russian offensive this year, there will be a new attempt at an agreement."
In an interview with Repubblica, he also explained: "Ukraine doesn't trust Putin; it will negotiate with Western partners. The situation on the ground is even worse: compromise is impossible."
