The United States has begun a new wave of attacks against Iran . "Today at 6 p.m. (midnight in Italy), American forces launched new air strikes against Iran on the orders of the commander-in-chief," a post on X by the Central Command reads. "These strikes are aimed at further reducing Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and to promptly punish the forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps who carried out attacks against American troops in Jordan last night."

Two US service members were killed in Iranian attacks on Jordanian soil. "This is very sad," President Donald Trump commented. "It's painful to witness. This is a sacrifice made in the service of our country," Trump added, before giving the green light for further attacks and reiterating that Iran "will never have a nuclear weapon."
