Attack in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.

“Around 9.30 am, two terrorists who arrived in a commercial vehicle in front of the entrance to the General Directorate of Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detonated a bomb,” reported Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

"One of the terrorists blew himself up while the other was neutralized," added the minister, making it known that two police officers were slightly injured.

Today the second legislative year of the 28th mandate of the Turkish Grand National Assembly begins in Parliament.

Before the ceremony, explosions and gunshots were heard on Ismet Inonu Avenue, where the Turkish Grand National Assembly and ministries are located.

Numerous forces teams intervened in the area

police, ambulances and firefighters. Investigations into the incident continue.
