Iran really wants a deal, and it will be a good deal for the United States and those with us. But don't the Democrats, and some seemingly unpatriotic Republicans, understand that it's MUCH harder for me to do my job properly and negotiate when politicians keep chirping negatively, at unprecedented levels, repeatedly, that I should move faster, or slower, or go to war, or not go to war, or whatever? Sit back and relax, everything will be fine in the end, as it always is . So said US President Donald Trump on Truth, regarding the Washington-Tehran Gulf peace talks.
The American counterproposal to the peace plan , a document to which Trump expects a response no sooner than three days, calls for commitments on nuclear and uranium . But the ayatollahs warn: "We no longer trust the enemy's promises," and announce a new Mosquito ship capable of launching cruise missiles up to 700 kilometers.
Missiles and drones fired at Kuwait at dawn today , while US Central Command announced it had struck Iranian radar and drone command and control sites over the weekend. In response, Tehran stated it had "hit and destroyed a US base from which an airstrike was launched."
Meanwhile, Israel cuts Lebanon in two, captures Beaufort Castle, and advances 25 kilometers beyond the Litani to isolate Hezbollah. And while Paris calls for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council, Rubio hears from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun: "Hezbollah must stop firing first."
