According to the pan-Arab daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Hamas has expressed a "generally positive" position toward the truce proposal put forward by the United States, through its envoy Steve Witkoff . The draft plan has reportedly been shared by other Palestinian factions, but some conditions remain to be clarified.

The sources cited by the newspaper, based in London, report that Hamas's response can be interpreted as "positive" , although accompanied by some reservations that the Islamist movement asks to be considered. The American proposal, according to what has emerged, could be accepted only if Washington demonstrates a real willingness to put pressure on Israel to respect the expected commitments.

Meanwhile, on the humanitarian front , a concrete sign of hope arrives. Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani has announced that Adam, the son of the Palestinian pediatrician who lost nine children in a raid, will soon be transferred to Italy for surgery.

" The mother has decided to have him come to Italy ," Tajani said on the sidelines of the Forza Italia youth congress. "He will be accompanied by his aunt and her four children. As soon as possible, the father will also leave." As for the timing, Tajani explained that the child's surgery could take place on June 11, although at the moment this is only an indicative date.
