The Jewish State has received solidarity and support from the majority of the international community (including Italy, during a telephone conversation between Prime Minister Meloni and Netanyahu ), while the unprecedented action of Hamas has instead found support in Iran and Hezbollah Lebanese.

It is precisely Tehran's support and the very high tension on the border between Israel and Lebanon that convinced the United States to move its aircraft carriers to the eastern Mediterranean.

In this scenario, the Jewish state has instead sent tanks towards the Strip and continues to strike Hamas positions. Hamas which, Israel argued bluntly at the United Nations, "must be eliminated."

“It's time to completely erase Hamas's terrorist infrastructure,” Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan said before the closed-door Security Council meeting.

"The money given to Gaza is used not for food or to build schools, but only for terrorism." «Economic incentives – concluded Erdan – cannot change a genocidal ideology. It wouldn't have worked with ISIS and Al Qaeda, it doesn't work with Hamas."
