Russia attacked Ukraine last night with 16 ballistic missiles and 280 drones, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on social media.

"In total," he stated, calling on allies to send Patriot missiles, "16 ballistic missiles were launched last night. More than 280 drones. Unfortunately, there were casualties, and there were hits in Kiev, particularly on the South Bridge. This is a serious escalation in the Russian operation against our logistics. There were also attacks in Kiev, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odessa, Chernihiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Kherson, and the Chernivtsi region. Almost everywhere, Russian targets are energy, logistics, and ordinary urban infrastructure."

Meanwhile, a humanitarian truce has officially begun in Oleshky, a town on the southern bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. "As part of preparations for a humanitarian operation in Oleshky, Russian Federation forces have ceased fire in the Kherson sector starting at 4 a.m. Moscow time (2 a.m. GMT)," the Russian Defense Ministry announced on Telegram.

In Kiev, meanwhile, the mayor announced on Telegram that a bombing had been carried out on the Pivdennyi Bridge, in the southern part of the capital.
