Two HH60 Blackhawk military helicopters crashed to the ground in Trigg County, Kentucky, while engaged in a so-called "routine" test.

The disaster was confirmed by a spokesman for the Fort Campbell military base to the BBC.

The toll, according to what was communicated by the governor of the state Andy Beshear, would be at least 9 dead.

An investigation has been launched to establish the dynamics and causes of the incident.
