At least three Palestinian doctors in Gaza told the BBC they were blindfolded, detained, forced to undress and repeatedly beaten by Israeli troops after a raid on their hospital - the Nasser in Khan Yunis - on 15 February.

This was reported by the British broadcaster, which today publishes on its website a short video taken on 16 February in which numerous people - apparently members of the hospital's medical staff - can be seen on their knees, in their underwear and with their hands behind their heads held by Israeli forces in front of the facility's emergency room.

British Foreign Minister David Cameron described as "shocking" the images broadcast by the BBC of Palestinian medical staff in Gaza being beaten and humiliated by Israeli troops.

The head of the Foreign Office, speaking in the House of Lords, asked the authorities of the Jewish State to account for what happened while previously Deputy Foreign Minister Andrew Mitchell, reporting to the Commons, had called for a thorough investigation into what happened.
