Hamas: "The IDF will not get its hostages with this criminal action in Gaza City."

The Israeli hostages "are distributed throughout Gaza City's neighborhoods, and we will not care about their lives until Netanyahu decides to kill them. The start of the criminal operation in Gaza City and its expansion mean that the enemy will not capture a single prisoner, dead or alive."

This is according to the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, quoted by Al Jazeera.

"The enemy is engaging in a war of attrition that will cost it additional deaths and prisoners," they added. "We tell the enemy leadership that Gaza will not be an easy target for your army."
