In an official statement, Hamas announced that it is ready to reach a comprehensive agreement to end the war and free all hostages.

"We are ready to accept a comprehensive agreement, under which all currently held enemy prisoners will be released, in exchange for an agreed-upon number of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, as part of an understanding that will lead to the end of the war in the Gaza Strip," Hamas wrote.

The agreement will include: "The complete withdrawal of occupation forces from the entire Strip; the opening of crossings for the entry of all goods and needs of the population; and the initiation of a reconstruction process. Furthermore, the movement reiterates its willingness to form an independent national government composed of technocrats, which will fully manage the affairs of the Gaza Strip and immediately assume all responsibilities in all areas."

Hamas added: "We are still waiting for Israel's response to the proposal that was submitted to it by mediators on August 18, a proposal that was accepted by the movement and the Palestinian factions."
