Ten days after being appointed as the new Prime Minister of France , François Bayrou has announced the team of his next executive .

The centrist Jean-Noel Barrot was confirmed as Foreign Minister , while the new Interior Minister will be Bruno Retailleau . At the Economy is Éric Lombard, general director of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti of France and number one of Generali France.

Former Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin has been appointed Justice Minister .

The new government team also includes two former French prime ministers, Manuel Valls, Minister of Overseas Territories, and Elisabeth Borne, Minister of Education.

Rachida Dati was chosen for Culture , Sébastien Lecornu confirmed for Defense, Annie Genevard for Agriculture and Catherine Vautrin for Labor.

In total, the executive Bayrou will appoint 34 new ministers, 17 men and 7 women. The first Council has been scheduled for January 3.
