Message of closeness from the Sardinia Region to the emigrants from the island residing in the Spanish province of Valencia, devastated by bad weather .

It arrived in a letter from the Councillor for Labour, Emigration and Cooperation Desirè Manca , addressed to the president of the Sardinian Club “Shardana” of the Iberian city, Pierluigi Melis .

A letter "to express to the members of the Club, to the friends of Sardinia, my personal solidarity and closeness together with that of the Council and the entire Sardinia Region".

"I know of the commitment made by all of you in making yourselves available to help and support those who have been severely damaged by this event, both Sardinians and Spaniards, and this honors the sense of responsibility and sharing that unites the people of Sardinia ," writes Manca. Adding: "Thank you because through the Circle you represent the supportive and welcoming face of our Island and concretely demonstrate the presence of our Region, through your daily action."

Again, the councilor asks the president "to keep us informed of upcoming developments and in particular to report to us the precarious and emergency situations and conditions that require immediate support and intervention. We are available to do our part to the most appropriate extent possible, therefore we await precise and detailed indications from you on the critical situations experienced by our fellow countrymen present in those devastated territories ".

"I also ask you - the letter concludes - to convey our closeness and availability to all the people you will meet. Feel us close and feel with you the entire Sardinia Region, ready to support you and accompany you in this long and difficult work of reconstruction and rebirth".
