Young man near death after beating in Sassari, hunt underway for attackers
A 36-year-old man was admitted to intensive care and is in a coma. Police are investigating.

A 36-year-old man is in a coma after being beaten by one or more people two nights ago outside a public place in the Predda Niedda industrial area, in Sassari .
The investigators are maintaining the utmost confidentiality regarding the incident, which is being investigated by the Sassari police's mobile squad.
The victim was severely beaten and left unconscious on the ground. She was rescued and transported to the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari, where she remains in the intensive care unit, critically ill.
