The Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the very serious workplace accident that occurred yesterday in the Saccheddu granite quarry , a town a few kilometers from Luogosanto.

A 50-year-old worker from Viddalba is hospitalized in serious condition in Sassari due to injuries and fractures sustained after being hit by a multi-ton slab . The investigating officer, Public Prosecutor Sara Martino, is coordinating the investigation, which has been entrusted to the Spresal staff of the Olbia Local Health Authority (labor inspectors).

The Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office is awaiting information on accident prevention measures within the granite quarry. Technical investigations will be initiated into the conditions of the work area, which is currently off-limits .
