The late signing of the agreement between the Region and Agris, which arrived in recent days, is not enough to appease the protest of the seventy-two workers of the Sardinian Breeders' Association without salary for three months and without a fourteenth salary who protested today in front of the Regional Agriculture Department in via Pessagno in Cagliari together with the trade unions Flai Cgil, Fai Cisl, Uila Uil and Confederdia which are following the dispute.

"Councillor Satta should have been more timely in the face of a dispute that already last March 2 had led us to the proclamation of a state of unrest", explain the regional secretaries Valentina Marci (Flai), Bruno Olivieri (Fai), Gaia Garau ( Uila), Sebastiano Mocci (Confederdia), recalling that the reasons for the strike are still all in the field given that in a few weeks, on July 24, if the Region does not speed up the procedures, there will be four unpaid salaries, in addition to the fourteenth. Furthermore, the question of the stabilization of precarious workers whose contracts have now exceeded the maximum renewal limits of fixed-term contracts remains open and the need to establish a revolving or advance fund that avoids the perpetuation of situations such as the one experienced in recent months, with the workers who carry out the zootechnical assistance service to the farmers sector at their own expense ».
