He hit a pole with a stolen car. But that's not all: to the carabinieri, who intervened at the scene of the accident, he provided false details. For the man, a 38-year-old resident of Decimomannu, a complaint was made on the loose for receiving stolen goods and false attestation or declaration to a public official about his identity.

The investigation was carried out by the soldiers of the Radiomobile of Cagliari , together with colleagues from the Sant'Avendrace station.

Around 2.30 in the night the driver of a Toyota Yaris crashed into a road sign. Got out of the car, left the car on the side of State Road 130 and walked away. A carabinieri patrol intercepted him a few meters later : he was still shaken by what happened and told everything, however providing the name and surname of another person . The data, following the cross-checked photo-signaling, was found to be false.

The 38-year-old then accused of pain in his side , on the spot the intervention of a 118 ambulance was requested which took him to the emergency room of the Monserrato Polyclinic.

Subsequent checks made it possible to ascertain that the car was owned by a 56-year-old from Assemini, from whom it had been stolen during the night.
