Two road accidents in one evening due to the massive presence of wild boars on the arteries of the Porto Conte Park area.

Two clashes occurred last Saturday, fortunately without serious consequences. The first request for intervention to the Barracelli Command in Alghero arrived around 7.20pm for an Arst bus which had collided with an ungulate along the SP55bis, near the junction for Porticciolo. In the collision with the wild boar, weighing over 50 kg, the vehicle suffered damage along the front. No problem, however, for the people on board the bus.

The second accident occurred along the SS127bis near the Nuraghe Palmavera, also in this case due to a wild boar which suddenly crossed the lane and collided with a small car. The driver was unharmed, but the intervention of a tow truck was necessary to remove the car which suffered serious damage in the collision.

The commander of the Barracelli of Alghero, Riccardo Paddeu, announces that a new operations center will be activated in the Via Enrico Costa command in the next few days. «Thanks to an advanced communication system and integrated geolocalization services, it will allow greater efficiency of intervention for all rural police and civil protection services».
