«What if he had saved his life?»: storm over the post about Farouk and the ear cut off of the resuscitated dog
On a Facebook page the chilling comparison between the Nuoro episode and the child kidnapped in '92
He has known that photo, Sardinia, for years. The look, ditto. It is that of Farouk Kassam , the child kidnapped on the island in 1992 and protagonist of one of the densest and saddest pages of history in regional history. His story is well known, as is the episode of the ear cut off of the little boy (now 39 years old) during his imprisonment.
That same fact became the inspiration for a post in very poor taste that appeared on the social media page "Sei di Nuoro se". The black and white shot, in which the mutilation suffered by the child is evident, was commented with an ironic question: «What if one day we discovered that it had actually saved his life? Who are we to say that?" .
The clear reference is to Monday's episode, when a hunter from Nuoro cut off a piece of his dog's ear in an attempt to improve circulation during what looked like a heart attack (THE NEWS HERE) . The event, documented in a video, had made the rounds on the web. So much so that it provided the idea for this absurd comparison, which inevitably sparked anger and controversy.
