Widespread rain and temperatures well below the seasonal average. The weekend will see a new cyclone between Sardinia and the central-northern Tyrrhenian sector . Further rains are expected (also in Cagliari but will be more intense in the central-northern part of the island), while the maximum temperatures will stop well below 20 degrees in most of Italy.

Antonio Stanò, founder of the site www.iLMeteo.it , confirms that " for at least another 10-15 days the thermometer remains stationary on values below the average, only in the South will we have some attempts to anticipate the summer ".

The whole of Europe, he explains, is "in a cyclonic cage, with a vast depression area that extends between Italy, Poland and the British Isles".

In the next few hours, bad weather will continue to spread in the North and snow in the Alps, rain in the Centre, especially on the Tyrrhenian side, also in Sardinia, while some sunny moments are expected in the South.

Over the weekend there will be a new cyclone between Sardinia and the northern Tyrrhenian sector, with highs that will stop below 20 degrees . On Sunday the cyclone will move towards the Triveneto, passing through the centre-north and Campania, while in the south "we could have 27-28 degrees and sun, especially between Sicily and Ionian Calabria".

It doesn't end here, between Monday and Tuesday a new cyclone from Tunisia will hit first the South and then Central Italy with wind and storms, involving the island. And then other low pressures towards our country are expected, " it cannot be excluded - concludes the meteorologist - that the whole month will remain unstable, cool and rainy ".
