The severe weather alert for Sardinia will last at least until the morning of Sunday, February 15th.

The latest warning issued by the Regional Civil Protection Department indicates a yellow code risk (ordinary criticality) for hydraulic and hydrogeological risks in the areas of Iglesiente, Campidano, Montevecchio Pischinappiu, Flumendosa Flumineddu, Tirso, and Logudoro.

Meanwhile, firefighters have responded to over a thousand fires across Sardinia since February 11th. The wave of severe weather currently hitting the island has put Sardinian provincial command centers to the test, requiring continuous and relentless operational efforts.

Approximately 600 firefighters are employed every day to meet the incessant requests that reach the operations rooms of the provincial commands.
