The bad weather alert for Sardinia goes into effect at midnight today, Friday 5 January. It will be above all tomorrow, starting from 9 am, and Sunday until midnight, that the coastal areas of the island will be affected by gale-force winds coming from the north-west. Furthermore, storm intensity may be reached on the eastern ridges and on the coasts of the Gulf of Orosei. Storm surges are expected on all exposed coasts.

The regional Civil Protection has also issued a warning of criticality for hydrogeological risk of code yellow (ordinary criticality) which also affects the Campidano from midnight today, Friday 5th, until 3pm tomorrow, Saturday 6th January 2024.

In particular, as regards the Pirri area, the Civil Protection Service of the Municipality of Cagliari reports that in the indicated time frame it is advisable to avoid parking in some streets: via Balilla (from Piazza Italia to via Dandolo) and side streets ; via Italy; via Dolianova; Sinnai Street; via Settimo; via Mara; via Donori; via Santorre Di Santarosa; via Confalonieri; via Ampere.

Alternatively, specifies the Municipality, "it is recommended to use the stalls at the parking lot of the Terramaini municipal swimming pool, in Via Pisano".
