Energy efficiency and safety improvements initiated by Anas on the stretch of highway 131 between Sassari and Porto Torres continue.
The final phase of work to install new LED lighting systems at several strategic junctions on the highway will begin tomorrow, October 29th.
The project, worth a total of €3.6 million, involves the lighting of six junctions between km 205.500 and km 231.559 of the SS 131 highway and is part of the plan developed by Anas to increase traffic safety through the use of highly energy-efficient technologies, improving visibility at intersections and reducing consumption.
The works currently underway will allow the systems to be completed and put into operation at the main junctions located in Caniga (km 212), SS 131/SS 291 Var (km 216.700), Truncu Reale (km 222.100) and access to the SP 34 for Stintino (km 229.400).
To allow for the work to be carried out, Anas announced, temporary traffic restrictions will be in place until December 5th. The activities will be organized into multiple operational phases and, depending on the progress of the construction work, will involve the temporary closure of individual entry or exit ramps at the affected junctions or localized roadway narrowing. In all cases, adequately marked alternative routes will be provided to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow and minimize disruption to road users. Once the work is completed, the junctions will be equipped with modern LED lighting systems that will ensure improved visibility at night and in adverse weather conditions, further increasing safety along one of the main road links in northern Sardinia.
