An 89-year-old woman was hit by a car and dragged several meters along the asphalt. The accident occurred this afternoon on the Castelsardo seafront, around 4:15 PM, on Via Sant'Antonio, a narrow street just steps from the town center.

The pensioner was trapped under the car, from which she was freed by local police. The Areus air ambulance and paramedics arrived on the scene and, given the circumstances of the accident, transferred the elderly woman, alert and conscious, to the emergency room of the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari.

The woman suffered pelvic trauma, a fractured femur, and a head injury. Her condition is serious but not life-threatening.

The Carabinieri of the Castelsardo station intervened to carry out surveys and investigate the dynamics.
