«The patience of the people of Bitto has reached its limit. Abbanoa must intervene immediately to resolve the disservice of water unsuitable for drinking and food use which has weighed heavily on the daily lives of citizens since December 19th."

These are the angry words of the mayor of Bitti, Giuseppe Ciccolini, in commenting on the continuation of the emergency situation regarding non-drinking water, which has been flowing from the taps of the houses in the Barbagia area for a month.

«We urged the managing body several times», continued the mayor, «to intervene quickly to resolve the problem and day after day, postponement after postponement, we managed to cut the 30 day ribbon. It is unthinkable that so many elderly and frail people have to reach the tanker every day to bring home the water needed for cooking or washing fruit and vegetables. Furthermore", concluded the mayor, "it is not tolerable that the outcome of the analyzes has not been known for ten days, with the doubt that they were not really carried out".
