A sudden and sharp braking triggered a pileup involving four cars. The accident occurred late Monday evening on the new Tirso bridge: eight people were injured, including three children. The conditions are not reportedly serious.

According to an initial reconstruction, it seems that on the bridge there was a person in a confused state who was walking without caring about the cars in transit . And just to avoid running over this man, a car suddenly braked when it found him in front of it . The pile-up was inevitable, which ultimately involved four vehicles. The emergency services were immediately alerted, and the 118 ambulances arrived on site and transferred the injured to the San Martino emergency room for further treatment and checks.

In the meantime , traffic remained blocked, long lines of cars while the traffic police officers carried out surveys and tried to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. Traffic then resumed regularly after a few hours; the man who was walking on the bridge was then tracked down and taken to the emergency room.
