Cagliari: Construction work on the new roundabout on Viale La Plaia is causing traffic congestion.

Work on the new roundabout at the intersection of Via Riva di Ponente, Viale La Plaia, and Via Sassari, a preparatory step for the light rail line, is progressing quickly, but the construction site, which began a week ago at one of the busiest access points to the city center, is causing significant traffic congestion, especially during rush hour.

Starting October 9th, once the work has been completed in accordance with the Cagliari City Council ordinance, a counterclockwise roundabout will be opened at the intersection. At the same time, the traffic lights will be turned off, and a 30 km/h speed limit will be implemented in the affected area.
