While waiting for the "Faradda," Sassari hosts the choral festival "Voices for the Candelieri." The event is scheduled for Thursday at 8:30 pm in the cloister of the Franciscan convent of Santa Maria di Betlem.

Among the protagonists are the “Città di Sassari” Student Choir and the Nova Euphonìa Vocal Ensemble of maestro Vincenzo Cossu, with their repertoire of Sardinian sounds, pop, classical, film music, spirituals and world music.

The festival also includes performances by Polifonica Santa Cecilia , the choral association celebrating 80 years of activity this year, directed by maestro Alessio Manca and with the artistic direction of Matteo Taras; the Coro di Florinas , which dedicates itself primarily to traditional Sardinian polyphonic music, with a particular focus on sacred and popular music, directed by maestro Giacomo Pintori; and Rita Casiddu , a singer, performer, and teacher from Sassari, whose work ranges from opera, Italian singer-songwriters, soul, and 1970s black music.

The event is part of the Festival delle Bellezze program.
