«Violent bad weather» in Sardinia: rain, wind and sharply decreasing temperatures

Rain and cold in Sardinia, after the spring weather that characterized the Christmas period and the first days of 2023.

In fact, the forecasts announce a progressive worsening of the weather , with the weather becoming increasingly unstable throughout Italy, especially in the Northeast and in the central-southern Tyrrhenian sectors and, precisely, in Sardinia.

Particular attention should be paid to Tuesday 17 January, when – reports ilMeteo.it – the island will be hit by "violent bad weather", especially in the western areas.

On Wednesday 18, however, the bad weather will remain "intense", also due to the southwest wind that will lash the coasts of the island.

And, with the rain, frost will also come: on Thursday 19 January, the sky will in fact remain very cloudy, with - in this case Arpas predicts - scattered rainfall, including downpours or thunderstorms, and local snowfalls above 1000 metres. In general, temperatures will drop sharply .

Finally, the winds will be strong from the western quadrants, while the seas will be very rough or agitated.
