Violence against a minor student at the dance school: Alghero teacher on trial

He appeared in the courtroom in Sassari yesterday to respond to the accusation of sexual assault on a minor.

There were six episodes in which a dance teacher from Alghero forced, between 2015 and 2016 , a 14-year-old girl to have intimate relations against her will . And the hearing focused on these circumstances, as well as on the type of relationship that the man would have had with the young woman.

Starting from the communication of the complaint, in 2019 , then backwards in the description of the evenings that the teacher organized and in which the minor, his student for a certain period in the accused's dance school, would have participated .

Responding to the questions of the defense lawyer Elias Vacca, who assists him together with the lawyer Nicola Satta, the man admitted to having sent the girl inappropriate messages but only for joking purposes as he did with other women . "I was an idiot", this is what he said in this regard, later denying all the accusations of sexual violence which, according to the charges, took place in two homes and also in the car.

The man also rejected the hypothesis of a flirtation with the minor: "Never had any intimacy with her" .

During the hearing, however, he was challenged about the recording that an acquaintance of the young woman had made during a meeting between the two and in which the accused was allegedly threatened, so he said, with a broken bottle. The president of the college Monia Adami, alongside Valentina Nuvoli and Paolo Bulla, and the civil party lawyer Gavinuccia Arca reminded him of this.

The man allegedly admitted some circumstances, adding: "I have a problem and you have to help me." Phrase that the elderly man linked to the fact that he was scared and dazed by the situation.

The prosecutor is Angelo Beccu and the next hearing will be held in April with the hearing of the defense witnesses.
