Villasor, head-on collision on the 196 between a bus and a van: one dead and one injured

A serious accident occurred around 9.30pm on State Road 196, between Villasor and Villacidro, at km 13.

The toll is one dead and one injured.

An Arst bus, on which there were five passengers in addition to the driver, and a Fiat Fiorino van driven by the victim collided head-on.

In the extremely violent impact, the driver of the van, aged around 80, died instantly, while the driver of the bus was injured and taken to hospital due to chest trauma: his life is not in danger.

The five passengers refused to be transported to hospital to be examined.

The firefighters, several 118 ambulances and the police who are taking care of the investigations intervened on site.
