A 32-year-old Roman tourist risked drowning yesterday afternoon in Villasimius , dragged by the currents. Fortunately, in Villasimius there is still an open bathing establishment, that of Delfino Beach (near Timi Ama).

The two lifeguards, Gianrico Locci and Daniele Pettinau, saw the man in difficulty and immediately intervened with the rescue bike . The man was recovered in front of the beach of Serra and Morus with his strength now at the end.

The tourist headed offshore despite the red flag and the no bathing sign. He owes his life to the two young lifeguards still in business. Delfino Beach is the only establishment open in these days of late October in Villasimius.
