Bitz, a Carabinieri officer from the Villaputzu station, the Carabinieri Labor Inspectorate (NIL) unit from Cagliari, and personnel from the Territorial Labor Inspectorate, investigated a construction site along the former State Road 125. The investigation revealed the presence of a video surveillance system installed without the necessary authorizations. The cameras were apparently positioned to capture workers during work. This led to the filing of a criminal complaint against the sole director of the company managing the construction site, a 73-year-old native and resident of Favara, Sicily.

During the investigations, safety irregularities were also discovered on the construction site, with scaffolding, guardrails, and fencing installed in violation of the law. Administrative fines were imposed on the project manager, a 68-year-old resident of Favara, who was present during the inspection. He was also given specific instructions, which he must comply with within the timeframes established by current legislation.

Further checks are currently underway by specialized personnel from NIL and the Cagliari Labor Inspectorate, aimed at verifying the validity of the workers' contractual obligations and full compliance with workplace safety regulations. The results of the investigations will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for any administrative decisions.
