The Carabinieri of the San Vito Company's Operational Unit and the Villaputzu station arrested a 44-year-old , accusing him of illegal possession of weapons, possession of an unlicensed weapon and possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.

The raid, coordinated by Captain Pasquale Striano, was launched after a thorough investigation by the Carabinieri. Thanks to their in-depth knowledge of the social fabric and dynamics of the area, they were able to gather and exploit a wealth of information and evidence from "the street."

The Carabinieri's attention had apparently gradually focused on the man due to unusual and frequent comings and goings near his home. Through targeted and discreet surveillance, investigators extensively monitored the suspect's habits and movements, solidifying their suspicion that the building might be the site of an illicit drug-related activity. A search was then conducted, which led to the discovery of a revolver in a mezzanine, without stamping or serial numbers, along with eleven 7.65 caliber bullets.

Twenty grams of hashish were recovered, already packaged in four heat-sealed cellophane bags and ready for distribution, as well as the sum of 485 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations.
