After having had his van stolen in Villacidro, he called 112. In addition to asking the police for help, he reported that the vehicle was equipped with a GPS and that he was therefore able to follow its route. The military began searching and quickly located the vehicle and arrested a 53-year-old who was caught behind the wheel.

Thanks to the indications that arrived on the robbed's smartphone, the van was traced while it was traveling along State Road 130. The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile of Cagliari and colleagues from the Sant'Avendrace station followed it until they managed to stop it in complete safety, without put other motorists at risk.

The 53-year-old, also from Villacidro, did not attempt to escape at the sight of the Gazelles.

During the search, a balaclava, some knives and a pair of gloves were found on him, material which further aggravated his position.

After the immediate trial, he was subjected to the obligation to stay.
