The 29-year-old Ukrainian Jurilo Evghen Serghijovych was acquitted "for not having committed the crime", accused of giving the fatal dose to his friend Chiara Zedda , the 23-year-old found lifeless in the house in Villacidro where the young man lived in October 2016.

The charges against the boy were dropped yesterday morning, before the Court judge, Antonella Useli Bacchita, who accepted the reconstruction of the defense lawyer, Ignazio Ballai, who contested the reconstruction of the public prosecutor Andrea Vacca. The latter had asked for a 4-year sentence, claiming that it was the friend who gave away the drugs which then caused the girl to overdose. The lawyer Ballai, however, forcefully denied this hypothesis, asking for full acquittal of his client.

Chiara Zedda, resident of Bosa Marina and daughter of the mayor of Montresta, Antonio Zedda, had gone to visit her friend in Villacidro.
