Villacidro, fire hits two farms

Two agricultural companies hit by the flames of a massive fire that broke out in the afternoon in the Figu Niedda area of Villacidro.
The fire, due to the high temperatures and the wind, quickly spread, covering an area of about two kilometres.
The Super Puma helicopter of the regional fleet was on site (another had left the area), the staff of the Forestry Corps, Forestas, Civil Protection, Carabinieri of Villacidro and Pabillonis and the local police of Villacidro for traffic.
The damage has not yet been quantified.
Flames also in Nurri, Cantoneria di Nurri, and Nuoro , Sa Trovodda: helicopters, Forestry Corps, teams from the Forestas Agency, firefighters and volunteers are also in action here.
